HUD OXP's

Post by Lycanthrope »

Total newbie to oolite and I deserve to be called stupid newbie if this has been covered. Honestly, I looked in the forum.

If I install 2 diff HUD OXP's will they conflict, or is there a pick method :?:

Most of the hud OXP only replace the hud of a particular ship (eg Wolfwood's HUD for the Cobra Courier only replaces the HUD for this ship) so most won't. If you tryied a HUD that is named hud.plist (the default one) with another that does the same. (EG the Fighter HUD and KeltoHUD) then only one would be displayed, as one would overwrite the other. So put one in AddOns at a time. If you want to try a different HUD move the HUD out of AddOns (to desktop say) and put the new one in. If you decide you liked the old one better, then move the old one in and the new one out. Oolite will only "read" and OXP if it is in AddOns.
OXPS : The Assassins Guild, Asteroid Storm, The Bank of the Black Monks, Random Hits, The Galactic Almanac, Renegade Pirates can be downloaded from the Elite Wiki here.

Thanks LittleBear for your prompt reply. Clears up the question.

What an awesome game this is, so pleased I found it.

The learning curve has just started.
