Poll: How Old Are You?

Post by person »

Hi. I go by the name of person (note the lower case "p" :P ), a relatively new Oolite player (starting to like it, though).

I thought I'd just start a poll to figure out how old people here are exacly.

oh. thought you made it public you had moved on to a new bracket. ;)

I'm not sure what science we can gather from this poll.. that a few were grownup when OG Elite cam out, some not yet born, and most imbetween..

Yeah, sad to say, I was already old enough to have known better when I got addicted to Elite the first time round!!

Still, they say you're only as old as the woman you feel...
Very funny, Scotty, now beam down my clothes...

That only saves me a couple of years!

I'm 36 btw. First played Elite when I was 13.

Cheers,

Drew.

If I vote now, I'll be able to offset the mean a little from the 30-ish group.
Next month I'll be undeniably in the 'old' category. ;)

ps Notice how the distribution follows almost exactly an exponential curve at first?

not quite, the run-up is too high.
drop-off after the peak is linear.

Possibly a finer group-size as well as a greater population size would pull it into the expected gausian bellcurve.
I suspect, however, that there will always be a bias towards younger ages, causing a 'bearded' peak.
