I'm new to the forum. I've been playing with oolite on and off for a couple of years and I've hit a problem.
I jumped into a system and promptly lost all my remaining fuel and was told the star was about to go nova. Would I take refugees. I said OK and was promptly launched back out, lost all my cargo and had no fuel to jump. The star exploded and I was a goner.
Restarted the game, jumped to a different star but with the same result. This time I wouldn't help the refugees, got berated for that. Filled up with fuel and launched out and the star exploded.
It seems you can't survive this.
Has to be a way, can someone advise please?

Well, you've got to leave the system immediately and hyperspace jump is not your only option...

The only time I got to G4 and encountered this (the vanilla game "Nova mission") I was playing with the

AutoRefuel OXP as I always do - so I never had that issue. It sounds a real corker!Comments wanted:

This Nova mission seems to be based on the same from the Spectrum Elite version. Drew Wagar did a play-through series on YouTube of that version, showcasing all the missions.

Are you sure they are blowing up? Could they be doing something else?
