What did i see?

Post by ArkanoiD »

Shotrly after witchspacing into a system, *hundreds* of ships, mostly police/military and supercobras appeared on my scanner, the viewport was all filled with witchspace flashes. Object count was 700+. A few secons later, they all started witchspacing out, leaving hundreds of wormhole tunnels. I followed one of them and seen the same happened in another system. Then the game became unstable and crashed.

Shouldn't there be some "sanity check" that estimates system resources (CPU and memory) and prevents new objects to appear if this may affect game stability? I could watch this safely then ;-)

This may be related to postings elsewhere about a bug in the Nova mission.
Do you have this OXP installed...?
You came in that? You're braver than I thought!

The Nova mission is an in-built oxp. If you remove it, you also remove the Constrictor, Trumble and Thargoid Plans missions (maybe more - I've forgotten).
It is generally inadvisable to eject over the target you just bombed.
