I have lost power on my ship???

I know I should know this, but I am stymied... Here I am just make a leisurely run to make some money. As I was making my to the Station, I decided to stop at a rock hermit like place, and after seeing that it was not worth my time, I bailed. Suddenly on my Boa, I am at 0% Energy and my shield on my MFD shows 23870% and growing. Anyway to shutdown the Shields so I can get some power going?

As for your problem, it sounds like an OXP thing - which OXPs are you running?

Unfortunately, too many!!! I also see that at any of the stations, there is not an opportunity to purchase fuel. I decided I would just start as a Jameson and start with my Cobra III and do a simple milk run. I find that I only have 5ly of fuel, and no way to top off. I see that there is a local fuel satellite, so I head towards it. Of course, as I am making my way to the Satellite, I run into a ridiculous number of pirates. Somehow, my pulse does not cut it, and no heroes to save the day!

Unfortunately, too many!!!

If you open the latest.log file (wiki link for details), you'll get a neatly compiled list of all the OXP's you're running. If you can post the list here, it will help us enormously in tracking down the possible culprit(s). We may also have to resort to looking at your save game, so if you've got one of those that demonstrates the issue, keep it handy.

Not 100% sure, but I think this might be a result of "Hyperdrives.oxz" (which limits the amount of fuel you can purchase for different ship-types).

Still looking for the energy issue.

You were correct! Removing hyperdrives allowed me to be back to 7ly. I am still wondering why I am still not able to buy fuel in the station? I am still running into the energy issue. I purchased an extra energy unit (although I did purchase a deal of other things, and as soon as I exited the station, I was on my last bank, with 0% available.

Energy: 0% LAST BANK!(128)
Shields: 6400%/6400 CG

I do have Military Shield Enhancements, Big Shield Capacitors 2

Sounds like you are going to have to start experimenting with your OXP setup. That is certainly not core game behavior. It sounds as if two or more OXPs are tweaking how shields work in your game, and are stepping on each other's toes. (could also be an older OXP that needs to be updated to work correctly with the current game.)

Start by reading through the descriptions of all of your installed OXPs, and make a list of all those that say things about "shields" "energy banks" etc. Then remove them one at a time, and test to see if your problem still exists.

Big Shield Capacitors are in HardShips OXP, so you can try removing this one. Although I never seen similar problem with it but this pack is designed for experienced players who search extra challenges.
