Targeting sensors

So, just wondering is there a way of identifying a ship that uses more than just the one pixel at the center of the cross hairs?
Also, is there a way of keeping the ident box on more than one ship?

Right now i have
Scanning targeting Enhancement
multi targeting system

I was getting tired of being killed by ships too small to lock on yet.

Just buy an Integrated Targeting System in a TL12 planet.
