Can't install "Addons for Beginners" after deleting config folders

For whatever reason I felt like uninstalling oolite and deleting .Oolite and GNUStep folders from my Ubuntu system. Now that I reinstalled Oolite, I find that I can't install the addons again for whatever reason. Some of them don't appear to download, and I get the error "Downloaded OXZ does not contain a manifest.plist, has been left in /home/danfun64/GNUstep/Library/Caches/org.aegidian.oolite/Oolite-download.oxz"

What should be done to fix this issue? Are there other folders that have to be deleted, or is the problem not on my end? Thanks in advance!

If you were trying in the last hour or so, you may have hit the issue where the Elite Wiki is offline for backup purposes. As many OXZ's are installed from this location there would undoubtedly be download problems. Are you able to try again now?

I've tried again and again the past couple days... same result. In fact, it was those couple days ago when I removed the folders.

I believe there might also be a problem with one of the entries in the "Addons for Beginners", "Combat Simulator". Can you download any expansion pack, or do all of them fail?

Failing this, we're probably going to need a bit more info: OS, version, contents of your "latest.log", that sort of thing.

I can still download some things...just not everything.
