Ordnance Survey map of Mars...

Post by Cody »

... well, a chunk of it, at least. A rather large version (67MB, 11574x9921) can be found here.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

If that's Western Arabia then where the hell is Lawrence?

Yeah, noticed Quorn. I thought that was a villiage just north of my home city of Leicester and famous for the Quorn hunt. (As well as meat substitute)

As a village... probably quite nice; as a hunt... no comment; as a meat substitute... yuck!

Quorn scotch eggs are quite good, ditto their fake bacon, which has the advantage of being very low fat. Not keen on the others though.

I like that Mo Farah advert where the girl takes his Quorn mince off him before he can tuck in. "Yes, I'll advertise your meat substitute product, as long as I don't have to eat it!"

How veggie is a Quorn scotch egg? Is it just the meat that's made of stuff grown in a vat, or do they make the egg out of it as well?

Doesn't quorn have egg white in it? Vegans do not approve!

I'd have thought they'd take the vegetarians first - they're usually the tastiest.

No, the egg is egg. Like I say, I eat this stuff because it's low fat and tastes vaguely like the real thing, not because I'm a vegetarian (which I'm not). The fake bacon tastes OK if you like it overcooked bacon (which I do), the eggs aren't wonderful but they're edible, taste OK with some pickle, and Waitrose tend to sell them cheap when they're on their sell-by date so they're a nice occasional snack.
