Thought I'd share a SF comic strip I've been following for several years now: Freefall, a three-times-a-week comic that started in 1998 detailing the misadventures of the starship Savage Chicken and its crew:
* Sam Starfall, an alien con artist;
* Helix, a childlike robot; and
* Florence Ambrose, a genetically engineered "Bowman's Wolf" (i.e. an anthropomorphic canine).
"Freefall" also has a "Atomic Rockets" Seal of Approval for scientific accuracy, so you know it's good for you

Re: Freefall
I second this, but be warned - the story moves very slowly. After seventeen years of strips since it started, and I think 3 episodes a week for most of that time, we're still only a few weeks into the plot.
