The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage

Post by Disembodied »

A webcomic of interest to anyone interested in the history* of computing, starring the world's first programmer, Ada Lovelace, and Charles Babbage, inventor of the Difference Engine:

*The people are historical, the adventures not so much.

I thought this was a tv series?
But then again I'm an avid reader. When reading a book the story unfolds in my head as a movie, picture sound and colour.
Only recently learned that's not true for everyone.

My favorite writer is Terry Pratchett.
His writing leaps from the page to full HD action in me head.

Now that's an ability I'm envious of..
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied
