Is there any way that accepted contracts' values could be added to their entries on the F5 manifest?
On occasion, when you gotta decide which parcel(s) to miss/run late on, it would be very handy.

Contract values on F5
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Added to tonight's build.
It's using Jens' new string expansion code, so it's also a lot easier to change the order of the text, or remove the fee info for those who preferred it the old way.

As a result of this, I can now get a far more precise idea of the early-delivery bonuses too - cool!

Cross-chart parcel contract (weapons designs) worth 24,431 Cr, duly delivered fourteen days early - no bonus, not one cent!Cody wrote:As a result of this, I can now get a far more precise idea of the early-delivery bonuses too - cool!
I'll presume that not all contracts pay an early-delivery bonus, but I mention the above just in case I've been robbed!

Correct - there's a chance of a bonus if you're at least a day early, with smaller chances of a higher bonus if you get there even earlier, but nothing is guaranteed.Cody wrote:I'll presume that not all contracts pay an early-delivery bonus, but I mention the above just in case I've been robbed!
Re: Contract values on F5
Mskes sense. If the personnel and facilities to build those weapons ist not yet available, what's the idea of having the plans there earlier? Right on time deliveries
Does this pay well? I shall try to add some parcels to my Gold / Platinum runs...
In general, the amount of contracts availiable compared to the size of the planets population and the number of ships ot there is rediculously low. Have a look at our own planets intercontinental trade business. There must be millions of contracts available. I sometimes find it hard to have more than two contracs that are roughly in the same destination area. But on the other hand, doing 20 missions at once, what should one do with all the money? Buy ones own planet?

Once you have sufficient parcel rep, indeed it does.. mind you, it does come with its' own downside, as well..ralph_hh wrote:Does this pay well? I shall try to add some parcels to my Gold / Platinum runs...
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied
