Question about injector speed

Question for the Oolite gurus. Is the speed while using injectors a fixed speed for all ships, or is it a factor of the actual ship's speed when not on injectors? Just curious.

Injector speed is 7x maximum manoeuvring speed for your ship.

Note that if you install and use Numeric HUD, you can see your actual speed as a number - which will also tell you how fast hyperspeed is for your ship.

Same with one of the MFDs if I recall correctly.
