Redo Missions in Oolite

Post by Commander Learner »

Greetings Commanders,

Is it possible to redo missions (both native and OXP) in Oolite without having to begin a new Commander?

I figured that if I removed a mission OXP and reinstalled it, I would be able to redo the mission right?
But what about the native missions? Do I go changing the mission variables in my save file?

Thanks in advance :D

Yes, that will be the way to do this. Simply removing and re-installing an OXP will not normally reset any mission variables, and of course this is doubly true for the core-game missions.
For most missions, simply delete all reference to them in the save file.

This would be the easiest way, but ou could always write a script to reset all their values to their original settings, or even just remove the values altogether. Although this wouldn't be as easy it would make your save file intact and not set off the cheat alert in the log!
