I've just docked, and my status page says I have 0t cargo, but then lists all the stuff I've got in my cargo bay:

If I buy one ton of something, then the correct total tonnage is reported.
If it helps, here's my saved file:

Dual G4, Mac, Tiger, though I doubt this is environment-related.

Re: Trivial cargo tonnage bug
I often see tonnage calculated incorrectly while in space and then fixed when docking/launch.Odo987 wrote:I've just docked, and my status page says I have 0t cargo, but then lists all the stuff I've got in my cargo bay:

Re: Trivial cargo tonnage bug
This is most likely a result of you having scooped gems/gold/platinum. They are scooped up in 1 tonne canisters into your cargo bay. When you dock you can transfer the stuff to the safe inside your cabin, thereby freeing up cargo space.ArkanoiD wrote:I often see tonnage calculated incorrectly while in space and then fixed when docking/launch.

This issue comes up on an almost monthly basis. Worth a sticky?
It is generally inadvisable to eject over the target you just bombed.
Re: Trivial cargo tonnage bug
As you can see from the screen shot, this isn't just a misunderstanding/miscalculation of the precious metals or gems. This is reporting 0t on a cargo bay filled with 27t of stuff.Cmdr. Re: Trivial cargo tonnage bug
True enough. I was really just refering to ArkanoiD's observation - you can get "descrepancies" between cargo weights in space versus when docked because of scooping gems/gold/platinum. This of course has nothing to do with your bug report.Odo987 wrote:As you can see from the screen shot, this isn't just a misunderstanding/miscalculation of the precious metals or gems.
