Music to shoot thargoids to
What do you listen to?
I found that shooting large numbers of Thargoids to the sounds of Ehren Starks 'Lines Build Walls' (more or less pure acoustic piano) to be strangely surreal and rather satisfying.

Now that's what I call Oolite Music volume one?
When you need to make sure that you're in the right mood for mass murder and piracy nothing really beats a bit of Slayer
..and for those calmer or more caluculated little calms before the storm - Puccini, Beethoven and Pachelbel.

Babylon 5 soundtrack? Could you post details of the CD, please? Me want...Selezen wrote:The Babylon 5 soundtrack (especially the Battle of the Line theme)
I love the No Surrender, No Retreat "music video" that came with the Season 4 DVDs - my rip of the music from that is permanently resident on my MP3 player

They were released as two suites of music during the series run. There were two CDs.
The composer made them specially for release as symphonic compositions, and they are unlike any soundtrack I have heard before or since.
Amazon has the first CD here and the second CD here.
I can't reccommend them enough. I always have one or the other on if I'm writing or if I'm playing a game like Elite...

Thank you - just ordered one of eachSelezen wrote:
I'm both hard of hearing and partially sighted. "No Surrender, No Retreat" has essentially become my personal signature tune. It's that effective at getting me back into gear when I'm feeling low. More of the same can only be a good thingSelezen wrote:I can't reccommend them enough. I always have one or the other on if I'm writing or if I'm playing a game like Elite...

Something nice and chaotic to go with the chaos.
Propellerheads Spybreak (matrix shootout anyone?)
or
Crystal Method - Trip like I do (basically the same type of situation)
Perhaps also the V Soundtrack by Joe Harnell when Mike escapes the mothership would also work great even if it's a different twist then the previous songs mentioned.
