Some pointers

Post by champ sys »

Hi All,

I can't believe I have found my childhood joy - I played Elite on an Acorn Electron back in the mid eighties and loved it. Even with advancesin games etc I still love it.

So quick questions....

I am currently reaching 100 kills and have a fairly well equipped Cobra.
Just shuttling between tech level 13 planet and tech level 4 anarchy trading and killing any offenders.

But the whole mission thing and expansion pack idea is new to me.

What is the next step, more cash and a new ship, use an expansion pack - which are advised for a newcomer etc.

Any kind of pointers would be great.

Thanks so much

Steve

well, the wiki was made for just this:

http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/OXP

at OoSat you could start by downloading the Longway mission, because the first native mission doesn't start until you've murdered 256 souls..

could maybe recommend this wiki article too..

I wouldn't risk a missile on anything that appears to contain that much methane...

Try Murgh's transports.oxp:

Fly real close to a quirium-tanker and then let loose with your military grade laser.
Nice fireworks. :)
