Visual addon support?

Post by Dr.Tripsa »

with 1.77 introducing visual effects and other appearance based tweeks, would it be possible to allow dynamic sub-ents in ships?

By that I mean military lasers that LOOK like military lasers, or missiles that actually mount at some point on the ship and vanish when fired.
No, I'm not a Trumble... that's a speciest and offensive remark!

On NPC ships, you mean? Like these, perhaps? They're real missiles that launch from that Cobra.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

I'd love to see that on player ships too!

That's the griff_cobraIII_(alt)_subent missiles_multidecal.oxp, but it requires the Griff shipset for the missile models (I think).
It's done by script, and they look very effective when fired-off at you... one at a time, or all four together.
