[Release] Targeter v0.72 (Target System Upgrade)

Hi, I finally waited 1.77 with my patch for second equipment button :)

And I want to present OXP for which it all began. Targeter is upgrade to the ship Target System to cycle targeting between hostile or pacific ships and cargoes.
It is more expensive and complicated alternative for "Target System Memory Expansion".

TL: 12, price: 3100 Cr.

Requires equipment: Scanner Targeting Enhancement, Multi-Targeting System

use keys: Shift+n for select, than b for mode change and than n for cycle targeting.

OXZ version Only for 1.79+

Congratulations, timer!

I think you may be the very first person to create an OXP which makes use of the 'b' key! 8)

I'll definitely check this out.
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

I hope my OXP will show example of using second equipment button and other developers will use it :)

That is certainly one of the reasons I'm interested in examining it! (Apart from the usefulness of the equipment itself, of course)

Hm, I have it installed with 1.77 and I'm currently docked at Aanteso, a Tech Level 11 Industrial Democracy world. It doesn't offer your device. :(

Hm... really in 11L it absent

I thought that numer in equipment.plist is the minimum level, but... it's weird - it's pred level :?:

Internally, Oolite stores Tech Levels beginning with 0, which equates to TL1. So 5 means TL6, etc. So if you want the EnemyTargeter to be available at TL 11 and up, you need to specify it as '10' in the equipment.plist.

Yes, I did! Works very well! Good work! :D
I will add it to [wiki]OXP List[/wiki] in the wiki.

EDIT: Note that I didn't need to have the Police Scanner IFF upgrade to use it. From the readme I thought I had to (but I like it the way it is, too) :P

Hmmm... can't think of anything - it's excellent! :) Oh, perhaps one thing: Increase the version number to 1.0 :D

in *nix world version 1.0 often comes only after years of devel work :D

EDIT: one more - my OXP much better in union WITH cool OXP "Target Autolock" - very convenient to see the current target in the scanner ;)
