Yes - I am shouting......
Just want to drop a thank you here for everyone's hard work on the game and on all the OXPs I've been sampling and gradually adding over the last few weeks since discovering the game.
They have brought what was in my imagination when playing the original (on the Beeb 30 years ago) to life.
Too many people involved to list individual names - but can I just transmit a general Thank You to all.
Yours,
Colonel Wasabi

Hi Wasabi, and welcome. I think most of us have experienced the same. Who would have thought all those years ago that the game could have come this far?

<nods sagely> Welcome aboard, Wasabi.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

This is just to say how grateful I am to anyone who has contributed to this fantastic game. Thank you so much.
I have used this game to show my students what 'free and open source' means. They were very impressed.

I agree whoeheartedly. This game has taken me right back to the heady days of Elite Plus on the Amiga. Many thanks to all concerned.

Didn't you know that during the 2300s the Welsh conquered the whole of Western Europe? Formed the Greater Wales Empire
PS welcome to the Ooniverse Wasabi.

I think the next few posts have been lost/moderated from yesterday....
Did I break some rule by posting a link to a caving site for Eric Walch ?
I know it's an Oolite board - but it was just a friendly chat....
Apologies if I've committed a faux pas.
Will pm him anyhow.

The politics discussion was moved to Outworld under the thread titled "Some politics". No offence committed, but the topic here is meant to be about thanking for Oolite and it had turned into various politics-oriented discussions, totally unrelated to the game.
