Oolite Bulletins

I've recently noticed the message "Advanced mapping off. No infos available" appearing on F6/F6 screen, which I'm assuming is connected to the screen graphics dimension of the BGS-A1.4 oxp. Is there a switch to turn advanced mapping on (whatever that might be), or is there another oxp needed? I can see a bunch of options on the right hand of that screen, under the heading "Toggle mapping", but no idea how to access these - if indeed they are accessible.
