Massive sunspot

Post by Cody »

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Fascinating... if only we could get sunspots in Oolite. Sun textures?

That's weird. I had a dream last night that the sun was eclipsed by the moon then when it came out the other side it was darker, then the moon moved back in front of it and showed a projection of the Earth on it. It danced around the sky for a good few moments then there were flames on the horizon that made a pretty corona around the edge of the world.

Then the Earth burned.

Now I'm a bit worried. CME can't knock the Earth's orbit though. Hopefully.

Interesting. Don't worry Selezen. It's only when the moon is eclipsed by the sun that I would be concerned.
Take an idea from one person and twist or modify it in a different way as a return suggestion so another person can see a part of it that can apply to the oxp they are working on.

Given that the Sun is about 870,000 miles in diameter and the distance between the earth and the moon is about 238,000 miles - I don't think an eclipse of the moon by the sun is actually possible. Atleast, not from the earth.

Cheers,

Drew.
