The Wyvern Ladies
Work on my Wyvern Ladies continues. Here is my first in-game snapshot of the "Wyvern Queen" with the amazing textures made by Smivs.

I like the style. Very sleek. Lets hope she flies as good as she looks.

That texture looks like a false colour scan of a bacterial growth!
Fantastic.

The Galactic Navy OXP uses a few five-pointed star emblems: there's a red star with a green outline (sometimes in a yellow circle) and – on the frigates – a yellow five-pointed star with a green outline inside a grey irregular octagon, outlined in red.Wyvern wrote:is there a galnavy eblem already in use by other OXPs?

Re: The Wyvern Ladies
There's a completely different one used by Capt. Hesperus in his GalNavy recruitment drive in YAH:Wyvern wrote:new textures for the galnavy version

Re: The Wyvern Ladies
The emblem wasn't invented by Galactic Navy OXP. It dates back at least until Military Fiasco OXP.Disembodied wrote:The Galactic Navy OXP uses a few five-pointed star emblems: there's a red star with a green outline (sometimes in a yellow circle) and – on the frigates – a yellow five-pointed star with a green outline inside a grey irregular octagon, outlined in red.Wyvern wrote:is there a galnavy eblem already in use by other OXPs?

Re: The Wyvern Ladies
Very interesting ship. The 2 heads of the Wyvern Princess reminds me of the cloud cars from Empire Strikes Back with the 2 cockpits. Incidently, where do the front lasers originate from on that ship?
Take an idea from one person and twist or modify it in a different way as a return suggestion so another person can see a part of it that can apply to the oxp they are working on.

Re: The Wyvern Ladies
at the moment, 0,0 way in front of the ship, i forgot to adjust the position from the queen's
forward view is over the starboard point. not sure if i put the laser into the portside point, or under the flight deck.
any suggestions?

Re: The Wyvern Ladies
If the view and the laser are offset in the X-axis it'll look very odd I would say from a players perspective.
Having this set-up is also going to make it "interesting" to manually dock, as your rotational axis won't co-incide with your view axis.

Re: The Wyvern Ladies
If it's player useable then the forward view and the forward weapon positions need to be close together. Your cockpit appears to be on the starboard side so put both over there. Just for fun have the missiles launch from the port side and if you have any turrets place them there as well to cover your blind spot. Cargo eject can also go to the back of the port side or the middle.
