That'd look good with the ambient light turned way down.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Or perhaps a little blur to simulate atmosphere...

Your wishes are my commands :)
This one has ambient level of 0.005 and I left the clouds "on" (as you can see Lave is quite a cloudy one).

It's nothing but the Lave brought by the "perlin_3d = yes;" option in planetinfo.plist (besides the extra night side).
Somehow it proves my point for the first image I posted on this page: it's too rocky and has a too small water surface for it to be agricultural.

a_c and Cody, haz you do! (PM)

Thank you good sir! Looks great, let's see if we can do something to improve performance on low-end systems a bit ;-)

How was the shimmer when approaching the planet on torus?

Considering it. There is a visible performance hit on my Intel HD610 when the planet enters view now. Most likely it will come up on master in the near future, but if there are any optimizations that cam be applied, it would be great.

@Cody: Can't say I noticed a difference in the shimmering when approaching with Torus compared to the shimmering under normal conditions, but did not pay particular attention to it. I'll check again sometime tomorrow.
