You need to post the pictures somewhere else like Flick'r or Photobucket and then link to them from the forum.

It's the bulletin boards safety lockout thats stopping me posting up the link or the image, can do in 4 days though....!! still it is on that facebook page now, if you do facebook - I'll come back and post properly here later.

My suggestion would have been either almost identical to Judex's or a variation on the classical design, but with a different animal, I like a dragonfly. Or a different posture such as a falcon diving downwards seen from its back...(tail up, head down and wings folded in a 30degree V upwards.

Using a single ship as an icon would have been appropriate for ELITE, but since then almost every elite clone, derative or tribute has had the possibility for owning other ships.
For Oolite the focus must be on progress of computing possibilities, (with a big glob of nostalgia.)

Using an icon too similar to ELITE's, though I like it very much, might incur the wrath of the Braben.

I'm new to the forum, been playing elite/oolite for years and years. i love it! ive created a new logo/icon but cant upload as new to forum! ill post it asap for your comments.

Ive found a great looking firebird from an old toy called "StarBird", some of you oldies might remember it (was my fave toy when i was a lad), ill upload to the forum in a couple days.
it might give someone some inspiration!
