Here's a picture of my new Shield-tastic Crosshairs OXP. Two semi-circular arcs around the cross-hairs reduce in size in three steps as the shields pass 90%, 60% & 30%. In this image my forward shield is almost down to 30%, so I've tactically re-oriented the vessel to bring the aft shield to bear.
Nice one.. excellent idea! 8)

Nice. Intuitive without being too intrusive...

What's the black square to the left? Is it just the result of an image edit?

Lave Coriolis Station, as seen when using Redspear's rescaling project version of Oolite.

En-route to the star at Erlaza for sunskimming. Check out that top speed.. over 245 kilometres per second.. thanks to a combination of the new 1.81 Torus and Redspear's rescaling tweaks..

Note also the speed gauge of the NumericHUD.. pegged at a mere 99.999 K's per second..

I don't have a speedo, but I was certainly hurtling along last night en-route to a farsun-located rock hermit.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

What's the point? Or are GalCop going to be introducing speed limits? :? <Smivs would not like to see GatsOo cameras along the 'lanes!>

For the bragging rights and the sheer  factor, of course!!! Why else would you want to know how fast you're going?

Thanks Amah :)

Nice shots Dizzy... and ffutures.

Yes, all the 9's made me chuckle too  but all I did was increase the minimum torus speed, I think you can actually reach higher max speeds without the rescaling (as I needed to halve base ship speeds). Even accounting for that, the base torus speed (on rescaling) will shift you four times as fast though

There are certainly a lot of improvements in the world of hud these days aren't there?
