Nice one.. excellent idea!Wildeblood wrote:Here's a picture of my new Shield-tastic Crosshairs OXP. Two semi-circular arcs around the cross-hairs reduce in size in three steps as the shields pass 90%, 60% & 30%. In this image my forward shield is almost down to 30%, so I've tactically re-oriented the vessel to bring the aft shield to bear.

Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

What's the black square to the left? Is it just the result of an image edit?

En-route to the star at Erlaza for sunskimming. Check out that top speed.. over 245 kilometres per second..
thanks to a combination of the new 1.81 Torus and Redspear's rescaling tweaks..
Note also the speed gauge of the NumericHUD.. pegged at a mere 99.999 K's per second..

I don't have a speedo, but I was certainly hurtling along last night en-route to a farsun-located rock hermit.Diziet Sma wrote:En-route to the star at Erlaza for sunskimming. Check out that top speed.. over 245 kilometres per second..
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Re: Screenshots
Thanks Amah
Nice shots Dizzy... and ffutures.
Yes, all the 9's made me chuckle too
but all I did was increase the minimum torus speed, I think you can actually reach higher max speeds without the rescaling (as I needed to halve base ship speeds). Even accounting for that, the base torus speed (on rescaling) will shift you four times as fast though
