I'm running on a Raspberry PI, and the latest version available is only 1.84, and GNN requires 1.86

If I understand you right, you can get the latest version of Oolite here. It's a self-contained package, but whether it works on a Raspberry Pi, I know not.

Thanks, but sadly no, those are for x86 systems, I'm using a Raspberry Pi 4 4GB, which uses an ARMv7 processor, the builds there are for linux x86 and x86_64. I did try to compile from source, but to get it to build a the package there are two rather complex problems that need to be solved for ARM to get the javascript engine to compile and link so that I can start to actually try debugging the finished program - even if I got that problem solved, it's unlikely the finished binary would run and work the way you'd expect it to on an x86 system.

The repos for Raspberry PI OS have a working copy of oolite, but only 1.84b2 from 2017:

I've spent about ten or fifteen hours these past few days working on getting it to compile, but come to the conclusion that it'd be easier just to fix the OXPs instead to work with 1.84, maybe strip out the requirements for GNN so that it enough runs under 1.84 to satisfy the requirement to generate text for this OXP, but then looking at the version history the only thing that has changed with GalCop Missions is the refactor to use GNN instead of the old code that worked with 1.84.

Honestly if I put a price on my own time invested I'd probably be better off just buying a state of the bottom of the barrel art x86 machine just to run oolite, but I'm a weird intersection of lazy, curious and stubborn that often prevents me from doing a practical thing when a highly impractical alternative is difficult but not impossible.

I have a problem to solve a mission.
i don´t know ..is it a bug in the oxz --- or am i too stupid

the mission:
collect " Lobstoid eggs, Milk from Tree-Wolf, Bananasyrup - to make medicine.

- hints: "come back to this ( mission ) screen at a matching planet" *)

ok.
i travelled around - found a matching planet for each item.
but .. doing this *) -- the screen sets back to "F4" ( happens with all three Planets/Items )

--- Last night -- ( after a lot of tries ) i gave up. ( cause i thought i am too stupid to resolve such a simple mission )

I believe I also found a small bug.
When doing defending missions (e.g. "Find and defend Anaconda transport in [destination] from all attackers."), sometimes the defending against attackers finishes (with the text at the F5 screen saying "Mission to defend transport complete. Return to the main station in [system] to claim payment."), but then later the mission fails because the Anaconda dies for some reason. It seems like this affects only the text in the F4 and F4 screens, but I can still select the "complete mission" option and get the credits and stuff.

I think before failing the mission, in the function $gcm_shipDied it should be checked whether the mission was already complete before failing the mission.

I'm presuming that my mishap was due to this oxp!

I was down at Soladies having flown there from Cetiisqu (testing Alnivel's rejig for TCA by playing "dock around the clock").

Get an email saying that Eoward Atheson back in Cetiisqu will pay me to fly there and hear his offer of a mission.

So I fly back to Cetiisqu - no sign of any waypoint in the skies, nothing on the ASC. Fuel low so I dock at the main orbital - and get a message saying that I've fluffed it.

Is there something which I should have done?

I'm wondering if Stranger's World might have rendered the Waypoint invisible somehow. This sun-shifting business... I did try replaying from this save and flew all the way from the witchpoint via the planet to the sun to refuel (over 15,000 km!), but again, saw nothing.

Finally got around to this one! New version (v0.6.8 ) is out now. In this version:

• Fixed referencing errors with hit team docking notifications.
• Fixed JS error when in interstellar space while a slave rescue mission is active.
• Fixed JS error for disease outbreak systems.
• Fixed description for blackbox secondary mission that wasn't putting location into the details.
• Will now try up to 10 times to create a secondary mission after meeting a ship.
• When no secondary mission can be created after meeting a ship, a message providing some explanation is now given.
• Improved process for detecting and flagging alloys as having come from Thargoid vessels (type 13).
• Hit teams bug fixes.
• Bug fixes.

Hopefully this addresses some of the issues people have been experiencing. But please keep the reports coming!
