As the saying goes... ‘It’s not the coughin’ that carries you off… it’s the coffin they carry you off in.’

This new BBS is a great improvement.

Now all we need is for someone to hack the wiki, so that it too can have a mega upgrade.

Nice new avatar. Are you sure it wasn't bird-flu?
There's been reports of birds dropping dead for no apparent reason in multiple locations the last week or so: Arkansas, Louisiana, Kentucky, Sweden, Italy, Brazil, New Zealand.

Just sayin'

Edit: @mcarans: Maybe if you send a request to the guys at indishell they'll have a go at it.

It happens somewhere just about every day, and always has. The current peak of media attention is purely because there was a moderately large case in an urban area.

Re the new bb: should there be a link to the Oolite front page in the header, as there was before?

The board replied, and it wrote:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end, expecting ']' in /home/aegidian/public_html/bb/includes/functions.php on line 67
or the line number of your choice...

Something still ain't quite right methinks

I can confirm similar happenings from my end.
Among other things, it's happened when clicking "View unread posts", that little page thingy to get to the first unread in a thread, the "Logout" button, etc, etc.

Two minutes later...

Is it fixed now?

Seriously, though, take your time. After almost a week of no FBtSoR, even a flaky one is pure heaven.

My earlier facetious comment highlights a serious issue. What is to stop someone hacking the wiki?

Rather than have it hacked and brought down, then upgraded with potential loss of data afterwards, it might be an idea to do a full backup and planned upgrade to a newer version that has all security fixes (and ideally a range of commonly used addons). It might save some headaches later.

I think the wiki is in Winston's domain - and has been down for quite a while in the recent past - HW failure rather than malicious hacking. So, "I don't know" is the answer...
