Well, perhaps the pirates are only "hijacking" the rock hermit's home-- holding him hostage, so to speak. Once you kill them, it's back to business as usual.....?

Don't like the idea of docking fees.
Do like the idea that you cannot dock with a station after attacking it.

As for frame issues - an option in Options for type of explosion?
