Many years ago I used to play Wing Commander II: Vengeance of the Kilrathi at a friend's house, and it was always accompanied by something from his large collection of goth rock CDs. 'Sumerland' by Fields of the Nephilim was a particularly good choice.

I'm sure that the same would apply to Oolite. Anyone for the Sisters of Mercy? 8)

Sumerland. Yeah, that's a great song. Fields and Sisters were the only goth rockers I ever cared to get on vinyl. :)

I prefer music you don't listen to but still gets you in the right mood or a certain shooting rhythm. Music you don't listen to is usually electronica. :D

At the moment I like Digitalism a lot. The song Pogo is great, it's not intrusive and doesn't get annoying even if repeated. Amongst my all time favourites are a couple of chemical brothers songs, too. House music compilations work well, too. Experience in electronic music by Forrest Funk is the best compilation I know, so that's what I'm listening to a lot whilst playing Oolite.
There are only 10 types of Jamesons in the Ooniverse. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

I always rather like playing the soundtrack from 'Pirates of the Caribbean'.

This was also the inspiration for the battle scenes in Status Quo.

Cheers,

Drew.
