If you are using griff asteroids as addons, their splinters will not be substituted by the ones from ore processor (so, they will remain simple minerals). With griff asterois as replacement, some splinters will be substituted with ore's splinters and they work correctly. If we try to stay with the core ships, how about a start option with a python, that has it's service level at minimum? That would be a true rustie, not a ship variant with altered specs. A quick test shows that it would then have the sell value of 119 000. Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied
