I recently actually bought the trumble to see what would happen. Not long later, Cmdr Amaranth worked out the rather hilarious solution to the problem. I got it whilst there was still only one on board since I didnt have anything edible in the hold and got rid of it quickly. Is that it? the trumble mission, just the puzzle to remove them? or is there more to it? Also, will I be offered them for sale again in the future? if so, if I have enough on board can I gain 'furs' upon extermination of the trumbles. Will a cargobay full of food bought at 2CR from a poor agricultural world + trumbles and time equal furs for sale at 80CR at a rich industrial world?
To find such an easter egg I would recommend you to get another Trumble and find out. I know you will be glad you did.

Nope. What you might get is less than a hold full of food and an increase on your vermin population. BTW, even if you manage to exterminate them, you should still be careful with what you get into the cargo bay...

The usual response to the Trumble mission is to turn it down when offered one!

I thought that you used to only get offered it once, but I had them offered to me about a half dozen times. Is that correct behaviour now?

The Trumble offer does seem to occur more often now than it used to.

I believe I read somewhere on the bb that you are offered Trumbles until you actually accept and dispose of them in an acceptable way.
Not sure if it has always been like this. But now that you mention it, I seem to get the offer more often these days.

There actually used to be a bug that meant once you refused the offer you'd never be offered trumbles ever again rather than after a while, as intended originally. I think it was fixed in 1.74 or thereabouts... :)

given the invention of "Lave fried trumble" (or whatever it was), once you burn them off they should turn into food you can sell. be a cool oxp that, be able to buy a trumble at the station, let them breed, cook em and sell em.
chance of getting attacked by PETA ships included :-D

I accepted them once! A long long time ago. The first time they were offered. But have never been offered again. Is there any way of (like when you refuse them) to keep getting offered them once in a while regardless of your choice. As that would fit into an Ooniverse that has plenty of Trumble sellers all over the place. The current way makes it feel like a single seller is following you about until you agree.

Yes, that is all to it as a mission. Its the first one , you know, it should not be to hard.
The internal mission will stop then, but some oxp missions still might give you trumbles. e.g. there is cargoWreck that has a trumble pod. Before you completed the mission, it only contains trumble furs, but after completion of the trumble mission, there might be live trumbles in some of the pods.
Also UPS has a mission that can give you trumbles, and there are more oxps doing similar stuff

then you can go straight to the final boss fight and win by just shooting it once. What a game, eh?
There's a final Boss

I only had the trumble mission once a long long time ago. And had so many aboard I could hardly see out the screen.
Was extremely frustrating.
Found the hint about BBQ and sauce.
Took awhile to dawn on me and I did fry them, tasty little mission I thought.

The trumble offers are getting increasingly annoying. :x
I'm a rebel fighter for Link (been doin' missions since I killed the constrictor once and for all). I don't need any more annoyances.
I may be having a barbeque sometime, but probably after Ramaza is far behind me.

In the spirit of the season:

Pirates fleeing so we open fire!
Trumbles roasting like the crew.
Corona's looming pull away, pull away!
Merry Christmas too you..... :D

I got a trumble problem!

My Python has an infestation, and because I got heat shields, it might be impossible to solve without editting my save? Help!?

I tried holding a BBQ, but despite getting heat to maximum, they just wouldn't leave!:

Once the temperature starts increasing, you must get away to find the distance at which it will stop raising. Dive a little to finish filling the bar, and climb again to hold the temperature. Stay put with the bar flashing near the limit for a good while, as some trumbles die more easily than others. If the last one still won't die, consider raising the temperature yet a little bit more (looks OK on the pic)...

What is the point where they die though? Do I need the temperature at max? I was the one that died shortly after the pic was taken.
