the princess only has two cargo slots. she's meant primarily as escort for the Queen, though will be playable by herself.

the lateral offset by itself is not a problem, one just has to remember to aim accordingly (both shooting and docking).

I was thinking more of the rotation you'll have to use to dock with the main stations (and some others). If the viewpoint is off to one side of the centre of the ship (which yours would be) it's going to be a spinning view rather than a rotating one (if you see what I mean - a sweeping arc).

It'll certainly be unique, but the ship had better be equipped with barf-bags ;)

once the rotation is synced, any co-axial deviation will result in a tumbling motion (the whole station seems to move in a circle). that's the same if the POV is directly at the axis or if they're apart in any direction. in the case of the princess, the target marker will be a bit to the right of the stations rotation axis when co-axiality is achived.

Just put a docking camera view at the center of rotation in the custom views and don't worry about it. :)

just took the princess for a spin. had no trouble at all docking with the offset view. so, why bother with an on-axis view?

on a side note, can anyone recomend OXPs to use as templates for the plists?

Why? Because it looks professional and it takes 30 seconds to cut and paste in a "Docking Camera View" to the front of the custom views. If you were really buying this ship you would want this so the kid you hired to fly it wouldn't have have an excuse for scraping up the ship on docking approach. You might also want a cargo eject cam and a scoop cam depending on the size and placement of those things.

If it's a big ship start with a same sized ship like the python. The views for weapons and view positions should be closer and the custom views should work close and you shouldn't have to move the other things too far either. The picture you showed has exhausts so I just assumed you already had a shipdata.plist that worked. There is no template as such just choose a similar sized ship that has the views you need as those are the most difficult to make from scratch. It will be a cool ship when you are done. :)

i think what i'd rather do is hire a competent pilot. the offset isn't far enough to make an excuse anyways.

I'd say keep it as a "feature" of the ship! It's been skinned that way, so it makes sense. Think of it as a pilots' challenge...

"Maiden ooniversal" (or should it be "Maiden ooniverse") is now flying a customized version of the "Wyvern Queen", the "Wyvern Empress".

After consideration, i treated the "Wyvern Empress" with her own model.

Somewhat less graceful, she's sometimes dubbed "Pregnant Queen".
between a slight stretch and a larger bulge, the main body has twice the enclosed volume.

As for the state of the OXP:

There are now three models in four paintshemes, as well as the NPC-only GalNavy paint, though i'm considering to make the "Maiden Ooniverse" paint NPC-only as well.

Because of the changes to the OXP, i will have to rewrite the backstory somewhat, but I will upload the new version later today to my file hosting service.
