@Griff

Just don't know what to say mate, your work just blows me away. Now i hope you're gonna make me even more happy by telling me you're doing the Dodec & Ico' stations. Your hard work has made Oolite all the more beautiful, and is always lovingly appreciated!

Thx Griff. :wink:

I think I have the shipset from Dizzy's page... where can I download the newest version, which has the awesome Coriolis?

The above link gets you the individual OXPs, including the new Coriolis.
You can download the latest all-in-one shipset from here.

I haven't got around to updating the all-in-1 bundle oxp for a while and it's missing the new coriolis, rock hermit and the missile, you can only get those as standalone oxp's from the box.net link

I probably will get around to doing a dodo & ico station at some point but i quite fancy working on some smaller projects for a bit first, the coriolis took from November last year to do and i'd like to go back an re-do some of my earlier remakes or at least have another bash at some textures for them

What... something like the Viper Interceptor, perhaps?

Anyone help me with this?

When i start a new game Griffs coriolis is in my rear view, but when i load a saved game and launch, the original coriolis is in my rear view. I then decided to jump to a planet and then docked at griffs new coriolis station. I saved the game but when i played it at a later date the old coriolis was in my rear view. Now either someone drugged me in my sleep and transported me to another dimension where griffs stations don't exist, or Griffs station was dismantled and replaced by Jeremy Beadle as part of an intergalactic prank. Or could there be an earthly explanation? :)

Have you got griff's all in one ship set installed or just the new big coriolis model?

Griff's releases don't replace existing models and if you don't want them to appear you need a shipdata-overrides.plist. It sounds like when you reload the game engine is choosing at random from the available main station models.

If you have Griff's all in one set installed that includes a shipdata-overrides.plist to stop the native coriolis appearing. But to only have the new big coriolis model and not Griffs standard normal-mapped one you need a shipdata-overrides.plist saved into the big coriolis's Config folder.

Code: Select all

{
"griff_normalmapped_coriolis" =
   {
   roles = "unused";
   };
}
If you haven't got the all in one ship set and just want to stop the native coriolis appearing it should read.

Code: Select all

{
"coriolis-station" =
   {
   roles = "unused";
   };
}

Would a wiki wizard be kind enough to amend/disable/strikethrough/delete the link on the Griff Industries page to the normalmapped shipset all-in-one OXP, specifically the old link to Dizzy's site which hasn't been updated since May 2010. There was a newcomer in IRC this afternoon who had downloaded a very old shipset from the Dizzy link. If the kindly wiki wizard felt so inclined, perhaps he could add a pic of the new Coriolis station, as well.
[EliteWiki] Done. I removed the link to Dizzy's all-in-one, re-termed version 1.1 a "starter pack" since it really isn't an all-in-one, and removed the information about the decals that must be downloaded if not using the starter pack since I don't find them anywhere on the box.net site. The picture of the alternative Coriolis is also there now.
