I'm probably asking an obvious thing here, but... have you purchased the "Flight Formation Autopilot" equipment?

I'll have a look at the Ai code to see if there's some sort of speed limit for escort leaders.

Yes, but it didn't work for me. I had assumed that it only worked on the way back, after you reached the derelict. Every time I looked onto the flight leader and tried to activate the autopilot it told me that the targetted ship wasn't transmitting the signal.

Ok then. You're using Oolite 1.84, right? And has the feature worked earlier? Basically it should work so that when there's nothing around, except escorts and player, the sync should work.

I'll test the mission when I have time to see if I it works for me.

Yeah, I'm on Oolite 1.84. I did notice that there were a few elements of the missiontext that were screwed up and not replacing correctly so the bits in square brackets were being displayed instead of the appropriate variables from the mission. I've got some pending missions that I need to complete first, but I'll try again when I get a chance and let you know if I can reproduce reliably...

The most awesome thing would be a save file at a rescue station after you have accepted a rescue mission.

Did a quick test with the mission and for me it works correctly, so at least nothing seems to be fatally broken.

I just tried again and this time it worked fine. Thinking back, I suspect it's possible that it had to do with me rejecting a mission, going back to a save game in the same system (different station), travelling to the RRS station again and then taking the mission again... but I don't remember the exact sequence of events so I can't be sure. I'll keep an eye out and let you have a save game if I find the same problem again.

Cheers,

Lucian

Somebody *please* tell me how to find a Black Box - I've been flying around a system for about 6 hours trying to find one ... I've installed the "hot and cold" OXP, which seems to work, but there's nothing shows up in the scanner.

It's driving me mad!

  :?

I must confess. Without the Cargo Spotter OPX I would probably never had completed that mission type.
