You can leave the name of the actual OXP-folder as is, although if it does not make conflicts, having a version number in the OXP folder name would be even better.
That might well be a case of the solution being worse than the original problem: people could then easily forget to remove the previous version of the oxp, and have 2 or more conflicting versions of the same oxps sitting next to each other...
True, however I have found that overwriting an OXP folder is just as bad if any file names have changed or if files have been removed from the OXP. That leaves total mess of two versions mixed in one folder. But, as I said, version number in the name of the ZIP-file only is fine by me.

Next time i update the oxp i'll put the date of the upload in the zip filename, it seems a very good idea especially since the oxp is now nearly 100Mb, makes it easier to check if you really need to download it or not

I think that I’ve been seeing what I call a ‘split laser’ for ages, and never taken any notice, as the beams were all red.
However, ToughGuys2 alters some laser colours, and this is the result:

I think that this only happens with Griff’s ships, but I’d like to know if anyone else has seen this effect.
I can’t work-out what’s causing it (I’m ‘a bear with very little brain’ left)… any ideas, guys?
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

My first idea would be that the ship sports multiple lasers, like many other OXP-NPCs. Not having installed the Griff ships I seem to remember that Griff gave them (or most of them) laser-subentities. If this particular ship has two subentities side by side it would be logical to assume that both fire.

Or it has one laser-subentity, but the main entity still has a forward laser defined, which could be left in on purpose, or Griff simply forgot to remove it. The different colours could hint to this second scenario.

Thanks McLane... I'll see if I can check that out.

Just a quick check: That's not a side view, by any chance? I'm too lazy to dig up the thread right now, but there were some screenshots a couple of months ago with what looked like multiple lasers but was just an issue of the graphics not keeping pace with the rest of the game engine.

But of course it does. Didn't even bother to properly look at the pic. Disregard.

I can confirm that Yodeebe... mine just froze at 4.9 MB.

Cmdr. Cheyd is checking it now.

Update Yodeebe... there's definitely a problem with the all-in-one download.
Cheyd's looking into it... Griff may have to re-upload it, but it's beyond my ken.

If you have an option to resume the download, it may continue, but slowly.

While looking at the download problems I noticed something else. In the description on the Wiki it says:
The alternative Sidewinder, the Rock Hermit and Alloys still have to be downloaded individually, see below.
But when I look inside the OXP, it looks like the alternate Sidewinder and the alloys are there. (Or am I wrong?)

Yeah, you're right... The Wiki probably needs updating. The rock hermit is a special case, due to it's texture size.

I updated the Wiki (Hope nobody tells me off).
I can do easy stuff like that, no coding involved.
