I'm sitting here now, listening to a BBC dramatisation of Stanislaw Lem's classic.
BBC Radio 7... well worth a listen. (Available on the iPlayer as well).
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

I read some of his short stories (Terminus amongst them) and didn't really get 'into' his style, despite being an avid science-fiction reader... Maybe it was a bad translation?

Is Solaris better than his short stuff?
