Still alive

Post by Svengali »

Hey Folks,

just here for a quick stop, saying hello. The last weeks were full of work, so there wasn't time for anything else and this won't change 'til new year. The deprecation warnings in trunk for oxps (Snoopers, OXPConfig, Vector, LH) are coming as expected, because of the changed missionscreen handling, so a bit restructuring will be necessary.

It doesn't feel good to know that this has to stay for while as it is, but hopefully next year will be more time to prepare things for the next version (at least a bit better).

Wish you some nice days (without me) and I'll drop in from time to time...

Spookily, that sounds very, very familiar...

Take care, and 'see' you in the new year, if not before! :)

Joining the club, and looking forward to 'seeing' you again next year!

(By that time I will hopefully have finished the Vector mission.) :)

Is it a race - the Vector Mission or MNSR....

:)

Of course - as a non-producer of oxps I need talk!

The actual race takes place between the Vector mission and Assassins. I am doing them both simultaneously (unplanned—I just installed the Vector.oxp and, errmm..., had a 'friendly exchange' with a certain Vector, while I was in the middle of Assassins) and am therefore quite busy travelling back and forth in Galaxy 7 (my next contact and my next contract are not necessarily placed in the same neighbourhood every time). Currently there are usually a couple of Irate Hockey Fans or one of Arn's Friends or both waiting for me at each witchpoint. A little tiring, but good for the ELITE rating.

I wish. I seem to have customers (spread all over Europe and beyond) who seem quite keen to continue on between xmas and new year. As I'm in the "everyone" group it's annoying.

Yupp. Hope to see you all again next year. It doesn't mean that I'm not here at all - it only means that oxping is shut down for some weeks. A few productions are still to do this year and this means 14-16 hours/day.

And for the Vector - expect a few ...emm... changes for the next version.

Take care and we'll 'see' us next year with a lot more time .-)
