A seasonal Drabble
As some of you know (it's in my sig!), I blog for my local newspaper and over the last three Christmases I've created a seasonal Drabble (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drabble) so this year I thought I'd share my creative efforts with you...
(it scans (sort of) to the tune of "Christmas is coming")
Christmas is Cancelled
---------------------------
Christmas is cancelled,
The goose has got the flu,
I sneezed without a tissue, and now so have you,
I haven't got a penny, the banks have got it all,
Everything else is screwed, but they're too big to fall.
Christmas is cancelled,
The planet is too warm,
Copenhagen will come to naught, a hot air, Carbon storm,
Turn off your Christmas lights, do not drive your cars,
While the smoke from new Chinese Power Stations, blots out all the stars.
"Christmas is Cancelled!"
The Daily Mail decrees,
Santa failed his CRB check,
So he can't leave presents under trees!

Well I have this site you see, I used to do lots of audio. I was particularly proud of "conformers"
http://www.isotopeaudio.co.uk/audiofiles/conformers.mp3
The time has come to resurect the site and I'm looking for a few good people to occassionally lend 5 minutes with an idea or two. Or just to sound ideas off really.

Neather at the moment I'm just recruting funny people for the occassional voice over and pod cast.
I used to do a lot of it. Then berevement brought me here. It is high time I returned, I just don't particularly just up sticks and bugger off back to the voice acting forums and the steampunk forums without the occassional excuse to pop back.

I loved conformers - count me in! Anywhere I can dump the nuttiness that is running around my head!!!ClymAngus wrote:Well I have this site you see, I used to do lots of audio. I was particularly proud of "conformers"

If only I could find the old adverts I wrote from "The Bookshop" (Sunderland) where I used to work when I was a student - they were little gems (if I do say so myself) - little 30s versions much in keeping with Conformers - so yes, I'd be happy to be part of your project(s) (although you may change your mind about my voice talents when you hear my non-descript Northern tones)ClymAngus wrote:Like I said it wouldn't be a lot of work, a script maybe a voice occassionally if you have the means to record. I'd be doing all the real work. Hosting updating websites etc.
