It was me.... they won Zulu devil race,
revenge by keeping them awake..
Indeed it looks weird...
just hope it isnt one of those,
"We would like to see how gullible people where", blah blah, we cant find a project that matters therefore we try to fool people instead with a hoax...
hoax people, make this world/universe true mysteries: harder to find..

Russian's have subsequently admitted it was one of their ICBMs gone astray and self-destructed...
Still, I prefer to think of it as a reckless Cobby3 pilot performing a low orbit witchspace jump...

:-/
see, i'm looking at that follow-up story on the BBC site and i can't figure it out. i've seen multiple vids of missiles and rockets going astray and they usually either blow up all over the place or veer wildly out of control ~ and then usually blow up. if this is a dodgy missile, can some physiccy type tell me how come this spiral is rotating pretty slowly, and is dead stationary in the sky? :-/

It’s not stationary, it’s just far away.
A number of people have produced simulations of rockets venting from the side producing similar patterns; here’s one of them. There was another similar event in Russia a few days later.
