OK, some of you will have seen my Matrox Triple Head 2 Go set up for Oolite - but I think I may be able to top it soon.
I will have to be more cautious this time (i.e. wait until everybody else has gone home as the Sim is going in the main "public" focus area - or "Torchwood" as Lestradae is convinced is the location of where I work)
But what do you think?
It's going to have a good i7 based PC with a 1GB GX285 and a Matrox TH2G put into it and one of our Flight/Tank sims installed (and when nobody is looking - Oolite!)
Obviously, photographic proof will follow as soon as I have it.
It gets delivered after Christmas - I already have Oolite and a bunch of OXPs copied on to a thumb stick (now I know it works like this!) ready to go so I can give it a quick go when everybody else has gone home!

I can imagine there will be a lot of people mysteriously wanting to do after hours work the week it gets installed. You might have to wait longer than expected

can you point me to an idiot's guide to how to do this - i would love Oolite on a usb stick. I searched the forum but only found one (extremely technical) thread....
nice setup in your office, btw DH. but why is there a fourth screen lying almost flat in front of the pilot's seat (which looks a lot like it's just been taken out of a Cobra III).

Assuming you are talking about the Windows version of the game, all you have to do is copy the entire root installation folder, together with subfolders and everything to the stick, then run oolite.exe.

The original sim that this was used for had a moving map display plus electronically generated cockpit for the pilot on the 4th screen.
Non technical use of Oolite on a thumb stick:
Install Oolite on your PC of choice - then copy entire (newly installed) Oolite directory structure on to thumb drive. Then, when you plug thumb drive into your other PC (which has same OS as your original install) navigate to the Oolite program on your stick and run it from there...
