Elite wiki
I have tried to create an account but there is only a log in page and no create an account page. Am I going mad or is it locked?

To say it a little clearer:
The "create account" option on the Elite Wiki is disabled, in order to keep out spammers. It's the only fool-proof method, although rather un-subtle.
The usual way to create an account is to send a PM to winston, who is the Wiki administrator. According to the experiences of some forum members it can take quite a while until he responds. But many of us have been successful (me included).
