Hi all,

Here's an idea:

Perhaps a different way to expand your cargo capacity would be to have a towing capability. You could buy an extra container which you could tow behind your ship.

This would probably affect your top speed, and probably your mass (acceleration) too.

But another cool idea with this capability. is that you could go on rescue missions to tow broken down ships or even stranded ships from Witchspace.

Or perhaps help to move asteroids from the space lanes?

perhaps towing this space caravan, the traffic could build up behind you!

Of course if pirates happen to jump you, you could drop the tow rope, and go attack the pirates.

However that is a risk, because someone could then steal your cargo if they also have towing capability!

A spin on this idea: The ability to tow an abandoned ship to dock, or the scrappers, and claim salvage pay.
Of course, getting attacked means releasing the tow chain to fight the buggers off, and you risk having your claim destroyed or jacked during the battle.

All of it not doable for player ships.

But for the time being you could try tugs.oxp. At least it gives you NPC towing ships.
