Yes, it's poetry, but it's science-fiction poetry in an easily-digestible comic-book form!

I only managed a Haiku in my blog to celebrate the event.

I think I shall never see
a poem as lovely as Qutiri
A land of ancient hills and quakes
that cause the many states to shake
Of felines gold,and wares untold
made by those industries so bold
A land of dusky yellow and red
where all the folks are quite well fed.
Such a land it is for me
a place of wonderous jollity
For a poem can be made by any churl
But only Giles can make a world

Twist into witchspace:
a dozen Thargoids lurking.
Press Space, Commander.

The brain-in-a-jar,
Did so eloquently state,
Newbie? Thargoid! Dies...

Day breaks silent
Mist in trees, Winter
Haiku duel at dawn, Anyone?
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

El Viejo I ask,
is not, five, seven, five - best?
Autumn winds whisper.

This could be a long discussion, DH (or should I say Commander "Haggard").

For instance, what is a syllable? Not quite a mora(s).
But yes, 5-7-5 is best. The seasonal reference is crucial.

The best Haiku must come on their own. To do them in haste, well...there's a Haiku there somewhere.

Regards.

Purchase trumbles now!
There's nothing else quite like them,
Get them while they're hot.
A trumble a day keeps the doctor away, and the tax man;
even the Grim Reaper keeps his distance.

I only bought one!
Trumbles are now everywhere,
What am I to do?

even the Grim Reaper keeps his distance.

Giddy with relief,
Speeding to the nearest sun!
Sanity is mine.

even the Grim Reaper keeps his distance.
