Arrrrgh!! I hate you sooooo much!!!
But I love you in a purely platonic, totally manly way.
I miss Space Invaders....

I didn't play a lot of Space Invaders in the old electronic arcade heyday.
I fed a fortune in quarters to Centipede, Tempest, and Battlezone, though.
Oh the memories.

I never played Space Invaders, but the thread got me thinking about Asteroids.
We used to play it in my local pub. They had a table-top version. Screen set into a small table, under a sheet of glass, with coin slot under and room for your beers on top. Hours of fun. I occasionly play it sometimes in my browser and it's still good.
Amazing, it's 30 years since that came out.

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Ah, Asteroids, and above Battlezone - two cracking proper vector gfx games - many a 10p went in the slots of both of these...El Viejo wrote:I never played Space Invaders, but the thread got me thinking about Asteroids.
