oolite font

Hi!

In the Oolite sources I found a png containing symbols for Economies and Governments of Oolite, which I used for the wiki galaxy guide project.

(FYI: oolite-dev-source-1.73.4/tools/fonttexgen/toprows.png)

Who designed these symbols, and could (s)he do more symbols like that? I'd could do with matching symbols representing the trade goods for the wiki.
If I'd draw them, this would ~~spell~~ paint desaster...

The Oolite font, as well as everything in Oolite, was designed by Aegidian.

And probably later revised by Ahruman and the bunch.

If you dig deep enough into the boards (and maybe in the Wiki), you will find a thread or two about the icons. I have definitely read about them. (Could be in one of the old release announcements threads, but I am not sure.)

Aegidian did indeed draw the icons. I doubt he’ll come out of retirement in order to draw a bunch of new ones.

When I updated the font a few revisions back, I extracted the original icon designs from their original OmniGraffle file, and they are now available in PDF and SVG formats.

Sad. But they are very nice, indeed. I like that simplicity.
