Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Oops, sorry about that. The 'Mythical' and the acronym kind of evolved from the fact that we've been getting Oolite ready for the next stable release for a while, and we haven't got quite there yet, despite the numerous improvements we've already made.

The job kind of grew as we were working on it.... For a recent example of what I mean, see the recent discussion about turrets! :P
