Oh I do...more so with the simple ships though.

But if you could inform us where we are going wrong, then maybe a happy compromise could be reached? (around cobra mk 4) :)

Alas! No one is going anywhere wrong. However, after flying the cream-of-the crop star-ships for many a month, I have found that I enjoy the space ways considerably more in a rusty low end ship. Perhaps it's an inferiority-complex I posses. ;)

I doubt he's flying a Kirin; the Kirin only has four energy banks.
(Unless it's been illegally and unnecessarily modified, tsk tsk you cheatin' weaselid. A Kirin is iron assed enough without having to go to that extreme.)

BTW Tivva, there's a new version of MilHUD out.
Thats how I bought it?? It is the XM version though, not just your average common or garden variety Kirin... 8)
If you're counting the bars then it actually shows 7 too...I'll go check the shipdata file & report back.

Didn't realise there was a new Hud out, must go look.

Oh look ex-military variant. I bet your having some fun with that. :D
How are you finding her?
Oh yes

She's a bit less nimble than the Caddy Omega, my previous ship (which I never thought I'd sell). But the firepower
Slightly different tactics required than the caddy too, these turrets can fire forward

If there was anything I'd change it would be her size- 400t is a bit too much for me. I'd prefer about 200-250t & more maneuverability.
Although the turrets make up for some of that, but it'd be nice to get the Mil lasers on target a bit quicker sometimes...

The energy reserve for all Kirin variants is 256, or four bars. The XM has a slightly better recharge than either the CV or Sport versions.

Yup, MilHUDv3. :)

That giant hold really pays for itself with those contract hauls on the F8-F8 screen. ;)
Sure, a Kirin is ponderous, but I've found that makes it an ideal platform for long-range precision sniping.

But if you want quicker and smaller, there is the Kirin Sport. Though you have to live with fewer, and weaker turret placements on that model, and only 150 TC max cargo. On the plus side, it doesn't guzzle fuel near as hard.

I've done a couple of F8-F8 contracts & i think i was just starting to get the more lucrative ones coming up (the 300t narcs offer put me off as i thought I'd never get to dock with a Fug status...) & then Cataclysm got in the way...

What I'd really like is a Kirin assault version- half the size, to make a smaller target, half the cargo hold (natch), more manoeverable & with 6 turrets but all on top & with a forward firing arc. Nothing at the rear or underneath- this baby is going in on the attack...Price accordingly the right people will pay for it...
I might see if I can hack the std oxp but I'll probably frak it up....
You never know we might see a special oxp looking for a stolen version in the hands of pirates & a certain shipyard want it back...

The "Sport" version doesn't cut it for me & the graphics arn't upto the pukka deal either...

Aquarian Strike Fighter - Raptor class.

But don't worry, we have a counter for it, which will be arriving in your galaxies shortly.

A fighter vs a Warship, it's more or less an even match, I'd say.
That same fighter going head to head with a Battleship, now that takes a ton o' nuts. In fact, you could question the sanity of that figherjock right off.

I'm never able to slug it out with a Battleship without racking up an epic repair bill.
