Addons Folder in 1.73.3 Ubuntu package

Just installed the 1.73.3 .deb packages from BerliOS mirror. This installed ok and runs but none of my existing OXPs are installed. This was no surprise as it installs in a different location so I searched the .deb files properties to see where the Addons folder was created only to discover it wasn't. The question becomes where do I created the folder for this version/package? My 1.72.2 version has its Addons folder in /usr/lib/Oolite/Addons which is a sibling of the oolite.app folder. This new package installs in /usr/libs/GNUstep/Applications so its oolite.app folder in there. Do I create the AddOns Folder in this Applications folder or does 1.73.3 look for it elsewhere?

For Linux, you can put AddOns next to oolite.app, or at ~/.Oolite/AddOns/.

I use this idea to quickly switch between OXP 'profiles':

. Have a single AddOns.avail folder which contains all my downloaded OXPs (including multiple versions of some, when testing).

. Have multiple AddOns.<profile> folders, each of which contain one or more symlinks to OXPs

. Have a symlink from an AddOns.<profile> folder to 'AddOns' which is my currently active profile.

Same idea really as the /etc/rcN.d folders which define what programs to start/stop for a particular runlevel.

Having more than one oolite installations, especially when installing
from different sources, can be very messy. You could end up not knowing
which version you are running.

I suggest a clean up of the versions prior to 1.73.3.

I tried a symbolic link first but it didn't work so I copied the entire folder and it still didn't work. Any ideas anyone?

Oolite 1.73.3 is install in:
/usr/lib/GNUstep/Applications/oolite.app/

and the add-ons in:
/usr/lib/GNUstep/Applications/AddOns/
as per instructions

just symbolically linked it in to my ~/.Oolite folder and that worked.
