Basically some ships that shouldn't have escorts are defined as having escorts. Oolite tries (& does) its best, but still reports that there's something seriosuly wrong with the way a particular ship is defined. For example, if you create a player version of an NPC ship using like_ship, and the original ship was supposed to have escorts, then Oolite will complain one way or another. No player ship should try to get escorts, the game engine isn't ready for that!
But try & tell that to Thargoids...

What’s happening is that Oolite is confused (basically, that message was there to help me discover situations where my assumptions were wrong, and it turns out there are several). It’s not you doing anything wrong, it’s me. So now that we’ve found that out, it’s entirely safe to suppress the message.Chaky wrote:That's not my way of solving bugs.. What drives me nuts is my lack of understanding why is that happening.
